Lyric (Y1 - Y5) 10am-11.30am
Price £70 Concessions £65

Lyric class uses imaginative games and devising, with some technical skills. Through improvisation we begin to consider other influences on performance: such as sound effects, music, different types of staging. Rehearsal for the end of term performance occupies a larger part of the class.

Gateway (Y6 - Y7) 11.30am-1.00pm Price £70 Concessions £65
Gateway is aimed at children who are crossing over from Primary to Secondary school. Games and exercises lead to work on dramatic technique with plenty of scope for devising and improvising around the basic script structure. Children are learning how to create and present a coherent and entertaining piece of drama.

Globe (Y8 - Y10) 1.00pm-3.00pm
Price £85 Concessions £70

This class experiments with different styles of performance and staging, discovered discovered through continuation of the games and exercises which identify Public Arena’s work and which foster self-confidence and confidence within the group. Performances are often longer and therefore may not take place at the end of each term.

Everyman (Y10 +) 3.00pm-5.00pm

Everyman class is a continuation of the work begun in the previous classes. However, it still offers new and exciting opportunities for devising and improvising and those who have not been through Public Arena’s classes gain from the forum-style workshop.
